Let’s start from the beginning. Can you tell us about that moment in December 2016 at the Blue Hall?
“In December 2016, I stood in the Blue Hall and accepted an award on behalf of my previous employer. The gala, brimming with inspiring speakers and honorees, ignited something within me. At that moment, I resolved: I will win such an award with my own company!
The next morning, I hopped on my bike, pedaled to work, and had a candid conversation with my then-boss. I took a leap of faith and tendered my resignation. Shortly after, I called up Mattias, co-founder of Recommended by, and declared, “Let’s do this.” And a few months later, we were on our way.”
Getting the Gazelle Award must have been an amazing moment for you. Can you tell us how you felt and what steps brought you to this achievement?
“Returning to the gala to receive the Gazelle Award alongside Mattias for Recommended by feels like compelling evidence that whatever we set our sights on is achievable.
Our ability to clinch this award is primarily owed to the extraordinary team who, alongside us, has exhibited remarkable innovation while consistently delivering top-tier quality to our clients! Maintaining a leading position in HR within the tech/gaming industry for so many years, showcasing profitability, and sustaining growth is no small feat – yet we’ve uncovered models and methods that undeniably yield results.
We’ve evolved into a teal organization, prioritizing self-leadership and a bossless approach – an initiative that has yielded substantial returns in terms of accountability, enhancements, and groundbreaking ideas. We understand that transparency, authenticity, and active involvement are the cornerstones of robust employee engagement. And this, without question, is a significant factor contributing to this accolade.“
How does this award motivate your future plans?
“Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans to rev up our progress. The past year has been a testing ground, with market uncertainties undoubtedly leaving their mark on us. Nevertheless, this award has furnished us with added impetus to attain our new two-year objectives, which extend far beyond our comfort zone!
The future of HR will unquestionably be more strategically oriented, and our clients have recognized this year that a meticulously devised employee strategy can significantly bolster the bottom line – a challenge we’re eager to assist even more with!”
